Coin-Op City is a Windows app that runs interactive machines on a streamer's own PC, for live streams whose chat plays them. This policy covers the people it touches: streamers who buy and run the app, viewers who play in a stream's chat, and visitors to coinopcity.com. It explains what's collected, where it's kept, and what you can do about it.
Most of it never reaches us. The app keeps a stream's viewers, their game records, the streamer's connections and settings on the streamer's PC. We (4Food LLC) only receive what selling the app takes: the buyer's email, their payment (through Link) and the app's license checks.
Coin-Op City also still runs as a hosted service on our servers until the app opens. If you used that, The hosted service covers it.
When you chat on a stream that runs Coin-Op City, the app on that streamer's PC reads the stream's chat to let you play. For each stream you play on, the app keeps, on that streamer's PC:
Your name, picture and game record are shown on the stream, as your name already is in its chat. Ordinary chat messages are read to run the game and are not stored. The message attached to a paid Super Chat, bits, sub or tip may be shown and read aloud on the stream once, and only if it has no links or offensive words; the audio is deleted within half an hour. The app never collects viewers' email addresses, real names, payment details or locations. If you play from YouTube, what's kept is refreshed from YouTube at least every 30 days or deleted, and it's deleted if the streamer disconnects YouTube (see Google and YouTube data).
None of this is sent to us: it stays with the streamer, who controls it. To have your record removed, ask the streamer whose stream you played on, or email support@coinopcity.com with the stream's name and your username and we'll help. The streamer can remove it from their control panel; if you play on their stream again afterwards, you start afresh with a new record.
When you connect Twitch in the app, Coin-Op City asks only to read your chat, follows, subscriptions and bits (user:read:chat, moderator:read:followers, channel:read:subscriptions, bits:read), to play the game on your stream. It never posts, moderates or changes anything on your channel. Its sign-in tokens stay on your PC. You can disconnect it in your control panel, or revoke its access at twitch.tv/settings/connections.
This section covers the data Coin-Op City gets from Google through YouTube API Services, when a streamer connects a YouTube channel in the app (and through Sign in with Google on the hosted service while it runs). Coin-Op City uses YouTube API Services. By playing on YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's own handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly ("View your YouTube account"). It is the narrowest Google permission that can read a channel's own live chat, and it is read-only: Coin-Op City never posts, edits or deletes anything on YouTube. With it the app reads:
openid, email and profile): your Google account's ID, your email address (only if Google has verified it) and your name. The app does all of this on your PC: YouTube data is used there and kept there, and isn't sent to us. We don't use Google user data for advertising. We don't sell it, and we don't use it to build profiles of anyone or to judge creditworthiness. We don't use it to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. People at Coin-Op City only see it if you send it to us yourself (for example in the app's log files when you ask for help), on the hosted service when you ask us for help with your account or to keep it secure, or when the law requires it. Coin-Op City's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We don't sell, rent or trade Google user data. It only goes to these places:
You can revoke Coin-Op City's access to your Google account at any time, in your Google account's security settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by disconnecting YouTube in your control panel. Questions or complaints about Google user data: support@coinopcity.com.
The website's pages (the home, machines, pricing, download, FAQ, privacy and terms pages) use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and tells Google which pages you view, your browser and device, and roughly where you are (worked out from your IP address). Visitors in Europe and the UK are asked first, and it only runs if they accept; anyone can change their choice with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. We never send it your name, email or anything you type, and we don't use it for advertising. Google's use of this data is covered by how Google uses information from sites that use its services; you can block it with your browser's cookie settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The app, its control panel and the machines on streams don't use Google Analytics or any tracking cookies. The website, the downloads and the license checker keep short-lived logs of requests (such as IP addresses) to keep them running and stop abuse.
We don't sell, rent or share personal data, and don't use it for advertising. These service providers process it only on our behalf:
What we hold is stored in the United States. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
Before the app, Coin-Op City ran on our own servers at coinopcity.com, and it keeps running there until the app opens. If you made a streamer account on it, it keeps your email, your channel's name and how you sign in (your Twitch or Google account's ID and the email it shares, or a link we email you), with one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It also keeps your connections' sign-in tokens, your settings, and your channel's viewers and game records, which are shown on your stream and on the channel's public dashboard at coinopcity.com/<channel> (Coin-Op City's own channel has one too). All of this is on OVHcloud's servers in the United States, with nightly backups kept there for 14 days and an encrypted copy at Cloudflare for 30 days, for recovering from a failure only. When a plan there ends or isn't paid, its machine switches off, and 90 days later the channel's data is deleted automatically. Email support@coinopcity.com to have an account or a viewer's record removed, and we'll do it within 7 days. When the hosted service closes, its servers and the data on them are deleted.
What the app keeps is on the streamer's PC, for as long as the streamer keeps it there; uninstalling the app can delete it. We keep a buyer's email, license key and the PCs it's in use on while they have a plan, and afterwards so that coming back uses the same key; email support@coinopcity.com to have them deleted, and we'll do it within 7 days. Link keeps its own records of payments as the law requires.
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the UK or California), you may have the right to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email support@coinopcity.com and we'll answer within 30 days. For data a streamer's app keeps on their PC, we'll help you reach them. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Coin-Op City isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child's data has reached us, email us and we'll remove it.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date, and buyers will be told about important changes. Questions: support@coinopcity.com.
